I'm a cultural historian specializing in Edo-period Japan, passionate about making history accessible through storytelling and creative engagement. I share the everyday lives and values of common people from Japan's past with global audiences through trilingual publications, speaking engagements, and two YouTube channels in English, Japanese, and Hungarian.
My educational approach blends cross-cultural understanding with creative expression, from student video collaborations to high school guest lectures and community diversity programs. I believe in making learning dynamic and meaningful.
Raising two bilingual children while drawing on my linguistics background has deepened my research in child language development and multilingual acquisition. This personal journey combines professional expertise with lived experience in exploring how young minds navigate multiple languages and cultures.
